I loved Crypto.com. I loved their credit card. I loved their staking rewards. I loved their exchange. Now the love is gone, all I feel is disappointment and anger.

The Story Behind It

I’m active in the crypto world for two years. I didn’t get rich off of it, because I simply didn’t have enough money to begin with. I guess we can all relate to that.

Now years later, after a couple of terrible decisions and losses, I have a relatively safe way of investing in crypto without losing it all in one night.

Sorry, I’m losing myself.

Back to the reason why I find Crypto.com “terrible” — they make changes without giving us enough time to prepare.

It already happened to me back in the past, when they suddenly switched from MCO to CRO. I was new back then, so I didn’t know any better. I thought it was normal to make a one-sided decision. The result — I have continued to invest bought some CRO at a decent $0,045. Today it’s almost 10 times more. Nice “gains” right?

The Story Goes On

It all started to move upwards, when Crypto.com announced a MASSIVE burn of tokens. The biggest in crypto history. I was thrilled. I thought CRO is going to hit $100 and I could finally afford more than pasta. Well, it didn’t reach that amount, but it still made a pretty good price increase.

This was nice, don’t get me wrong — so what is the bad thing?

Crypto.com didn’t ask anyone. They didn’t ask their users, their community, they simply did it. One-sided decision. If they decide, they can simply do anything. If they want — they can make us rich and if they want they can take everything from us.

Today I know more— I do not want anything to do with something like that. I’m out as much as I can be out. I have sold every single CRO coin that I don’t have staked. Now you will see why.

DISCLAIMER: CRO is getting better, they are working hard on it and I still believe it could have a bright future (I stake CRO for the credit card) + their App is easy to use and a great start for a crypto beginner — but nothing more

What Happened Now

This is easier if I show the conversation I had with the support.

Actually, why would I even bother. They offered no help.

The problem was that they forced us to close all of our margin positions in one week. One week’s notice. Can you imagine that?

What if your bank called you today, that you have to pay your loan in one week or they will take your house?

To be honest, they have to follow regulations. But they knew about them. We could have been given more time to prepare. But no. Not on Crypto.com.

My last e-mail to them:

:/

It was not brought up. There was no solution given.

Tomorrow is the date when they close it automatically. I will update you on how it went.

Crypto.com is not the only centralised platform that treats their customers poorly. Have you seen this:

You feel bad for me? Don’t. But if you do — I use every dollar for crypto and food. In this order.
